I know this isn’t exactly the subject matter that’s normally discussed here, but I saw this today and just had to post it. Really cool 80’s video vibe here, complete with old school video effects and VHS "PLAY" text overlay at the beginning. Really cool how the VHS tracking is off at the beginning like it’s an old tape, they really did a great job making this feel authentic. The whole thing is an interesting departure for this guy and shows that along with a whole lot of style he has a great sense of humor. It’s too perfect. It’s an exact replica of 80’s videos. I wish the director put a modern touch somewhere, or just referenced the 80’s look. The 80’s is getting played out quick. I’m ready for something different, unique, progressive.

People keep saying 80’s, but this seems late 70’s to me. The 80’s weren’t that bad were they? Great song tho

perhaps you’re right….I always automatically attribute this style to early 80’s, but that’s probably just because I don’t remember anything from the 70’s (was only 2 when they ended)

Matt Davis –> But I think the “modern touch” comes in, when Snoop begins to rap in his highly recognizable way. That really saves the video I think.
