Nueva Forma Listening Pleasures

Nueva Forma has graciously allowed me to post these Listening Pleasures here for you guys. They have captivated me for the last month when stumbling upon them. Prior to this post I’ve also posted mixes 1-8 on Wanken with the track listing for each.

Each month Nueva Forma creates one of these mixes featuring artists from their own label and also guest artists whom they feel fit. The mixes are presented as podcasts and can be downloaded from the website. Each is around an hour or so in length. So sit back and enjoy the wonderful listening pleasures brought to us courtesy of Nueva Forma.

Wow, loving the photography. I can’t be sure but they all look to be from different sources. Some feel truly vintage while others feel more like a lot of PS post. Anyone know the designer?

Everything NuevaForma (the website, album artwork, and podcast artwork) are designed by Michael John and Christy Lai as Colorcubic. Pretty impressive to know they’re doing all of this.

Thanks for putting this up Shelby! Great design team and they deserve this exposure. They also work closely with their label’s roster on art direction. I suggest checking out their artists album designs as well!

I’ll admit, I have had a couple of their episodes on my Ipod for a while but never got around to listening to them till this evening….Great stuff. Some songs feel as if Brian Eno, Flying Lotus, and Explosions in the Sky got together. I really love the aesthetics of this label too, they really put much emphasis on good design. Awesome stuff!

Does anyone know the location used for the cover art of the very first episode in this post? That would be, episode 8.

I’m glad I just found this on here. This stuff is awesome! I needed more stuff like this to work to. I find it hard to get into a groove with lyrical music unless I’m doing something completely mindless.
