Emeralds + Gold Panda + Ducktails + Salem

Posted by Jakub

Lately it doesn’t get any better than the feeling I get after hearing Shades by Emeralds, it’s dizzying like my vertigo i’ve been having. Anyone else have vertigo? anyways, listen to how this track grows, its like watching thousands of ferns growing infront of you in time lapse film. iTunes

Vanilla Minus is off Gold Panda’s new LP, its classic Superpitcher in my eyes, beautiful loops and an explosive vibe. iTunes

If you read the blog you know I love what Ducktails is doing, he makes music that I couldn’t even dream up making, he has a new self titled LP out, pick it up if you get a chance. iTunes

Salem is uncanny, mashing together a haunted ghetto rap with stomach churning heroine induced electronics, its an addictive listen. Preorder LP

Salem ain’t bad. I’ve been keeping an eye on them for a bit now.

Personally enjoy Mater Suspiria Vision and oOoOO a little more – in the same sort of vein.

Mater Suspiria Vision:
They do a video it seems, for every track they make, and they have some good slowed down remixes. Lady Gaga, ABBA, etc to name a few.
Great use of video and music: http://vimeo.com/13639677

oOoOO:
The tracks on their myspace are great.

Hi Scott – found your blog on somebody’s twitter list. It’s great! Enjoying the playlist. Btw, I had vertigo over the holidays last yr. As it turns out, it’s often caused by dehydration. It took me about 6 weeks of really upping my water intake to completely get rid of it, but it gets gradually better. Good luck!

Just an FYI, that Ducktails track is from the self-titled album which came out in 2009. The confusion must have been from the recent reissue. However, there is a new one on its way, out sometime in November, and a track from it, “Art Vandelay,” has been floating around the blogs.
