Kings of Convenience – Boat Behind

Boat Behind
I just came from one of the most delightful shows I could ever even dream of seeing and hearing which was a small show with Kings of Convenience live with about 15 people in the crowd. To be honest I can’t even describe how good this album is going to be in October, if you have tickets to the Bowery Ballroom tomorrow then you’re in for an amazing time, i’m still soaking in what I just heard. Erlend even came up to me and told me “hey look its you” and pointed to his shirt of a drawing of a boy with glasses on and I kinda laughed since I KINDA have pink glasses similar to his. At one point there was this high pitch sound coming from the walls or piping in the room and KoC just decided to take the private show into the staircase and played an encore in the stairs which sounded really good for some reason for how huge this stairway was.

Sorry for the fanboy post but it had to be done, i’ll never lose that star struck part of me when it comes down to true talents.

I saw erland in santa monica back in 2004. still to this day it is one of the best shows I was ever at for sheer dancability. I hardly ever go out dancing anymore since I’ve turned into an old curmudgeon who hates most music.

I have no idea how you were invited to such a thing. I can think of more than a few people here in NYC that would be pretty excited to go to such an event. In anycase, color me jealous. I wish the Bowery show wasn’t sold out. :(

I saw them in Seattle. Was right on the stage. Erlend crowd surfed on one of the last songs. … I accidentally touched his butt. My brother wasn’t so lucky. He got kicked in the head by him (Erlend). Erlend and Erik are my idols. … After Brian Eno. …

Saw these guys in Bournemouth, UK. Everyone I was with was blown away, amazing songs but the stage show (I mean, like stage presence) of the lead singer was so good. Would definitely go to see again and again.

Dang, you were among 15 very luck peeps ;) Erland Oye is the best singer of his generation in my humble opinion… everything he graces with his voice turns to silky smooth gold. Can’t wait to hear the new album.
